RCH Care Homes Celebrates Nutrition and Hydration Week with Exciting Events

RCH Care Homes is thrilled to share with you the successful celebration of Nutrition and Hydration Week 2024 across all our nursing, dementia, and residential homes. From 11th to the 17th March, we organised a series of engaging events aimed at highlighting the importance of balanced nutrition and hydration for residents, staff, and visitors.

Nutrition and Hydration Week provided us with the perfect opportunity to promote healthy eating habits and raise awareness about the benefits of staying hydrated. We believe that nourishing our bodies and maintaining proper hydration are essential components of overall well-being, particularly for the individuals under our care.

Throughout the week, our homes hosted a variety of activities that catered to different interests and preferences. From smoothie making and homemade ice lollies to tropical fruit platters and mocktail classes, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We even got creative with themed tea parties, including an Alice in Wonderland, St Patrick’s, and Great Gatsby-inspired affair.

“We were excited to celebrate Nutrition and Hydration Week with all our residents, staff, and visitors,” said Oliver Clothier Group Executive Chef at RCH Care Homes. “This week is all about highlighting the importance of nourishing our bodies and staying hydrated. We wanted to make the event both informative and enjoyable, and I believe we succeeded in doing so.”

One of the highlights of the week was the opportunity for residents to indulge in delicious homemade ice lollies and mocktails, specially crafted to keep everyone feeling cool and refreshed. These treats not only provided a tasty way to stay hydrated but also added an element of fun to the festivities.

At RCH Care Homes, we are committed to providing exceptional care that prioritises the health and happiness of residents. Nutrition and Hydration Week served as a reminder of the importance of maintaining healthy habits and fostering a supportive environment for all those in our care.
