Meet the Manager
Rachel Smith General Manager at Manton Heights Care Centre
I’m delighted to be General Manager at Manton Heights Care Centre, having previously supported the home as Interim Manager. Being part of the RCH Care Homes family again feels very special and working within an ethos that truly aligns with my own values makes this role even more meaningful.
I have spent 13 years working as an interim across a wide range of services, including mental health, learning disabilities, nursing and residential care. During that time, I have held roles such as Interim Manager, Regional Manager and Interim Operations Director, supporting homes to strengthen quality and stability. Prior to this, I worked as a Registered Manager, primarily within nursing care.
I hold a Level 7 qualification in Management and Leadership in Care, as well as a Master’s Degree in Dementia — a subject I am truly passionate about. Above all, I want every person living at Manton Heights to enjoy a meaningful, fulfilling life, supported by a team that feels valued and empowered.
Meet the Deputy Manager

Her approach focuses on getting to know each resident’s life story, preferences, and routines to create moments of comfort, connection, and reassurance. She encourages independence wherever possible, helping residents to live with dignity, purpose, and joy.
As Deputy Manager, Hannah takes pride in mentoring the team and promoting a positive, supportive environment where everyone feels valued.
