RCH Care Homes Celebrate the Best of the Best at the Finals of the Great British Care Awards.

The RCH Care Homes team attended the 2023 National Great British Care Homes Finals at the Birmingham ICC on Friday the 17th of March. As always, the event was expertly hosted by Stevie Walls and this year’s special guest was Peter Andre. There was live music, dancing, and Irish Dancing to keep everyone entertained before the awards ceremony commenced.

For the second year in a row, we had winners from the GBCA Regional Awards who had gone on to become National Finalists!

Our first finalist was Honey Berry, the Dementia Ambassador from Orchard House Care Home who won the Dementia Carer Award at the East of England GBCA Awards. Our second finalist was Associate Director Jasmeet Rai and Head of HR Pauline Manning who won the 3R’s award in the Southeast region.

On the night, the team were excited to hear announced that Honey had been highly commended in her category, the National Finalist Judges said, ‘Honey demonstrated a really good understanding of the sector, with her own personal circumstances bringing her into this career. We were really impressed with Honey’s commitment and desire to engage with the community, imparting her own knowledge and providing support to others for the benefit of people living with dementia. Honey was clearly a passionate and motivated individual who was committed to being ‘a sunshine’ for those with dementia.’

For everyone at RCH Care Homes, it is not just an occasion to celebrate our Regional Winners and National Finalists, but it is also an opportunity to recognise the dedication, the professional talents, and skills of those who work in the Social Care. We are truly proud to have been a part of this year’s GBCA’s and celebrate the Social Care sector.
