When Romford Care Home resident Katherine was born in 1919, George V was on the throne and David Lloyd George was Prime Minister.
So, how do you celebrate a 104th Birthday?
Well, the team at the care home in Romford who are known for organising a good party, pulled out all of the stops and nothing was too much trouble to celebrate the milestone Birthday. Family, friends, fellow residents and the dedicated team came together to celebrate the birthday of this astonishing lady.
Tracy Smith, Customer Relations Manager was one of the team helping to celebrate the extraordinary day, ‘Katherine is a remarkable woman with a zest for life, she is a force to be reckoned with, even at 104!’
A spectacular party with entertainment, party food, the odd sherry and of course a fabulous cake made by the home’s professional and former patisserie chef Pauline, however there weren’t 105 candles on the cake!
The special day’s events were arranged by the magical Lifestyles Team, ‘we’ve thought of everything to make the party a success and to show Katherine just how much she means to us all’- Hayley Sullivan- Lifestyle Team Member.
We should leave the last comment to the lady of the hour Katherine herself, ‘it been a wonderful day, I’ve loved all the fuss and it been lovely having my son here. Thank you everyone!’
