RCH Care Homes Honour The Inspirational Women Throughout Their Homes on International Women’s Day 2024

RCH Care Homes is proud to announce its heartfelt celebration of International Women’s Day 2024 across all of its homes, showcasing the incredible contributions of residents and team members who inspire and empower others every day.

Aligned with the theme “Inspiring Inclusions,” each RCH home organised special events to commemorate this global occasion, highlighting the importance of recognising and valuing women’s inclusion in society.

Orchard House Care Home in Wisbech orchestrated a musical tribute to women, featuring live performances honouring some of the greatest female vocal artists throughout history. The team also demonstrated their support through engaging social media posts and quotes. Notably, 103-year-old Mary, a former Police Officer from Coventry, joined in the celebration, embodying the spirit of inclusion and empowerment.

Park View Care Centre in Ashford showcased the inspirational commitment of its team members to charitable causes, including Sabrina, the home’s Clinical Lead, who completed a 100-mile fundraising effort for cancer research.

Additionally, Gina and Tracey from the Lifestyle Team shared their adventurous philanthropic endeavours, while Mel, the home’s General Manager, embarked on training for the London Marathon in support of the Children’s Cancer Charity.

Woodlands Care Centre and Withen’s Nursing Home fostered a sense of unity as residents and team members came together to share personal stories that had inspired them as women. Romford Care Home residents reflected on influential women throughout history, including Anne Frank and Dolly Parton.

At Manton Heights Care Centre in Bedford, staff embraced the essence of the theme by uniting in joyous celebration. General Manager Lisa Dennis expressed gratitude for the phenomenal women in the community, emphasising the importance of uplifting and empowering one another.

Lisa Dennis remarked, “Celebrating International Women’s Day was wonderful. To all the phenomenal women out there, you are all a mazing, and we will continue to celebrate your incredible contributions and strength in our community and beyond. Just like the vibrant spirit and togetherness we embrace here at Manton, let’s continue to uplift and empower each other, creating unforgettable memories filled with love and unity.”
