Meet the CRM
Martin joined the Manton Heights family in April 2023 and in that short time has certainly made an impact.
The main part of Martin’s role involves supporting families via the phone or on-site visits. ‘My journey in social care is a personal one that started when my mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, I then wanted to understand the disease as much as possible such as cause and treatments, and funding options. Therefore, working as a CRM at Manton Heights gives me the opportunity to share my experience and therefore support the care seeker navigate their journey on finding the right care for their loved one.’
The second part (which there is many) involves reaching out to partners in the community such as Dementia Charities and Hospital placements teams.
There is always laughter, fun and activities going on somewhere at Manton Heights Care Centre, which Martin says makes the home feel full of life, ‘We have activities that are delivered to help with physical and emotional wellbeing such as armchair exercises and musicians that come in and play music. It makes the home feels full of life!’

Reviews & Ratings
Don't just take our word for it
My mother was admitted with severe dementia and received very good care and attention. One particular incident which comes to mind was that following a stay in Hospital, which was very poorly managed by the discharge unit, the care home staff stayed long after their normal working hours to settle her back in safely.

Dementia-friendly activities
Our team takes a considered approach to dementia-friendly activities and meaningful engagement — supporting our residents who live with dementia to still experience happiness, comfort, and contentment.
With an in-depth knowledge of people’s life histories, we are able to encourage positive reminiscence and create a safe and supportive environment where people feel comfortable taking part in both familiar and new activities, trips and events.
Activities & events
Supporting our residents to enjoy every day living at Manton Heights is a key focus for our dedicated team.
By getting to know each person, we are able to tailor our activities and events to their likes and dislikes as well as activities they may like to try.
No two days are the same here and, alongside our usual daily hobby-based activities, we also like to host events which are a little out of the ordinary.
In addition to keeping fit with chair-based exercises, baking, quizzes, movie nights and our knit and natter club, we also take great pleasure in welcoming visiting entertainers, schools, nurseries, and groups to our home to enjoy spending time with our residents.
Our team and residents also love pottering around the local garden centre, visiting local attractions, such as country parks and wildlife centres, and getting dressed up for our themed days throughout the year — complete with themed menus and decorations!
Food & nutrition
We are proud of the high quality of our meals here at Manton Heights that are carefully designed to be enjoyable whilst providing balanced nutrition to our residents.
They are lovingly cooked and prepared by our in-house catering team and follow the seasons.
Regularly rotating menus ensure we always have meals which cater to our residents’ likes and dislikes, including those who require modified or specialist diets.
To create a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for our residents to enjoy their mealtimes, our tables are lovingly laid with crisp table linen, menus clearly showing what’s on offer and cutlery and dinnerware which supports their independence.
