Activities & events
Supporting our residents to enjoy every day living at Queens Court is a key focus for our dedicated team.
By getting to know each person, we are able to tailor our activities and events to their likes and dislikes as well as activities they may like to try.
No two days are the same here and, alongside our usual daily hobby-based activities, we also like to host events which are a little out of the ordinary.
In addition to keeping fit with our chair-based exercises, art therapy, quizzes and movie afternoons, we also take great pleasure in welcoming visiting entertainers, schools, nurseries, therapy animals and groups to our home to enjoy spending time with our residents.
Our team and residents also love visiting local attractions and getting dressed up for our themed days throughout the year — complete with themed menus and decorations!

With an in-depth knowledge of people’s life histories, we are able to encourage positive reminiscence and create a safe and supportive environment where people feel comfortable taking part in both familiar and new activities, trips and events.

Reviews and ratings
The overall experience with regards to our father’s care has been very good. All staff are very caring and always take time to speak to us and keep us informed at all times.
Having lost a very dear friend who was in the nursing home for two weeks, I have nothing but praise for the staff and the care that was given to her.
I have found the standard of care very high at Queens Court.
The activities are great and engaging for residents and friends and family.
Lots of choices at mealtimes and general caring for residents is good.
I’m sure if my father could communicate, he would echo the above.
My mums stay in the nursing home was relatively short but in that time we found the management and staff were brilliant. The rooms were neat and tidy, the food was varied and tasty. Overall I have no complaints at all with Queens Court Nursing Home, my daughter and I have been back since my mums passing to thank all the staff
My mother was seriously ill and came to Queens Court for palliative care. I cannot fault the care and kindness that she received from all staff- from the manager through to the ward of staff. It was comforting to know that in her final days mum was well cared for and safe.
I am so pleased my mother moved to Queens Court for end of life care. The staff and managers were very friendly, supportive and respectful to my mum and my sister and I. I can’t thank them enough for making the end of her life as good as it could have been. They were all so kind to us all at such a difficult time.
Excellent care with a great attitude. Very sympathetic in the final days of my mother’s life. I cannot speak highly enough of the management or staff.

The home is always clean and fresh smelling. Staff [at Queens Court] are always kind and helpful.
The staff [at Queens Court] have looked after my wife for over 3 years. Their care and expertise have always been excellent, giving me confidence that my wife is in a safe place amongst people who truly care.
I would like to say a big THANK YOU for the care shown to my father who is in [nursing care at your [Queens Court] home. I am unable to visit personally but have nothing but great feedback from the family who have visited. It has given me a great deal of ease at a difficult time. Your staff are extremely attentive and should be commended on their professionalism.
