Director of Care & Quality Angela Gibson, Head of Quality & Governance Clare Silvester and Head of Human Resources Pauline Manning were announced as the winners of the Frontline Leader Award during a gala awards dinner at the Hilton Hotel.

The judges said of the three members of the Senior Management Team, ‘They work closely together to continually improving services. Proactive and acting fast if need to, considering both the staff and client views. Working along staff to ensure clients receive care they need but also showing staff example.’

This award given in recognition of their clear commitment to improving the delivery of care and support within their team. For showing leadership qualities by reflecting on what could be better and supporting others to bring about change.

The trio were overwhelmed by the announcement from last Fridays awards, ‘Not only were we delighted to be nominated for this Award by the RCH Family, but we are also over the moon to have won such an amazing award which represents our passion, our commitment and dedication for the work we do, supporting our incredible teams and those in our care on a daily basis. It is an honour to receive this award in RCH’s 30th Anniversary year. Angela Gibson, Clare Silvester, and Pauline Manning.

Jasmeet Rai, RCH Care Homes Associate Director reinforced what the judges said, “Angela, Clare and Pauline have all led by example on the front lines along with our teams each day since the pandemic began, always going above and beyond all so

that residents and teams could receive the greatest support possible. Their motto is “it’s our job to put our arms around our teams, our residents and the business”.

Already proactively involved in or leading numerous projects to drive forward quality, innovation and retention before the pandemic began, these three stepped it up a gear (or ten) and were front and centre over the last 18 months.

Always willing to lend a hand and get stuck in, they are the very definition of frontline leaders and we are so incredibly appreciative of them and their dedication.”

All three now go on to the National finals which are being held in Birmingham on the 18th March.
