Silver Sunday Announcement

Statement from Stephen Rees, Chief Operating Officer

I am delighted to announce that RCH Care has officially joined the Silver Sunday campaign.

Silver Sunday is an annual day of fun and free activities for older people across the UK led by the Sir Simon Milton Foundation. It celebrates the value and knowledge they contribute to our communities, whilst helping to combat loneliness and isolation.

The Lady Flight Older people’s champion for Westminster City Council and Founder of Silver Sunday historically commented “Some people don’t like to admit they’re feeling lonely and Silver Sunday is a positive way to do something about it by meeting new people. You’re never too old to try something new and Silver Sunday is the perfect opportunity.”

RCH Care’s first event will be held in all of our services on Friday 5th October 2018 with a Themed Tea Dance starting at 2pm. Each service will have a different theme which we will be announcing shortly – stay tuned for further updates!

This is really a worthwhile cause and we are so pleased to be able to fully support this campaign. It is going to be really exciting to have all of our residents, staff and guests all participating in our Tea Dances at exactly the same time.

If you would like to attend one of our Silver Sunday events, please email for further details.
