Supported housing for young adults with learning disabilities

If you’re looking for supported housing for adults with learning disabilities, we can help. Through our Woodlands Housing division we offer high-quality accommodation for individuals with learning disabilities and other associated disabilities.

We provide affordable rents and various levels of support to help young adults with learning disabilities live as independently as possible whilst ensuring that their care needs are met.

Paying the Rent

In order to move into a home of their own, most young adults with learning disabilities need a combination of housing benefit to pay for it, and support to help them live away from their family.

What Support is Available?

The local authority will fund social care for disabled people who meet their criteria. This care is either provided directly, or through a payment which the family can spend on the care they feel is most needed.  In addition, disabled adults are entitled to state benefits including income support, disability living allowance and housing benefit.
