Manton Heights Acquired Brain Injury Centre
Ranc Care Homes are extremely proud to announce the Manton Heights Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Unit; a purpose built 12 bedded facility with 2 additional self-contained rehabilitation flats. Our facility has been specifically designed for service users requiring a range of complex and rehabilitation needs whereby each room is furnished with a range of state of the art fixtures and fittings.
Situated on one of the highest points of Bedford, north of the town centre, Manton Heights ABI Unit has good road links, via the A6 and ample free parking for all visitors. There is also a good public transport service to and from Bedford.
As a purpose-built unit, all areas are spacious and accessible for wheelchairs.
All our residents’ bedrooms are en-suite, furnished and decorated to a high standard. As well as being relaxing and comfortable, our rooms also have modern facilities such as adjustable beds, a nurse call alarm, smoke detectors, telephone points and television sockets.
We consider all aspects of dining as an opportunity to socially engage with other service users within our facility and to enjoy elements of a fine dining experience from the range of nutritious menus we have available. Whether or not a specialist diet is required we are able to offer a wide choice of meals.
We offer bespoke individualised care programmes provided by a dedicated, trained team of highly skilled staff. Our specialist nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists are able to support residents’ personal physical development and strengthening of various muscle groups, using our fully furnished therapy suites. Aromatherapy and massage sessions are also available.
We are also able to provide support in our rehabilitation with two, one bedroom self-contained flats; which are designed to prepare residents for full independence before going back into the community.
