We are always delighted to receive feedback from residents and their families.

Here, with their permission, we reprint the kind words we have received from a number of families:

Brentwood Care Centre

Very pleasant and the staff are very friendly and kind. Food very good and the care is good.

[Resident]

After visiting my wife at The Brentwood Care Home I felt I needed to contact your company on behalf of my wife on how well she has been looked after and attended to. The staff are always very friendly and anything we ask for is never too much trouble. I would recommend this care home to anybody who requires this type of care. Many thanks.

[Husband of Resident]

As a resident, I consider I am extremely fortunate that the manager has accumulated a wealth of caring staff that are willing to go that extra mile for the care and contentment of the residents. Thank you.

[Resident]

Brentwood Care Centre nursed my grandmother through the final months of her life in the most wonderful way. They cared for her as closely as her family would have done, treating her with kindness and love for the entire 5 months she was there. We had had a very bad experience with a care home elsewhere which the hospital had transferred her too, which saw her deteriorate hugely. But the minute we moved her to Brentwood she was a different person. Although bed bound and not eating they kept on trying and made sure she was hydrated. They dealt with the doctors in a timely manner making sure visits occurred when they should and I believe kept her alive and at a good standard of living for longer than she would have been anywhere else. I cannot thank the staff enough for also helping my mum get through this difficult time and at the end being so kind and compassionate. I would highly recommend this home.

[Grand Daughter of Resident]

All staff do a superb job. It is an excellent home. My views are listened to and taken into account. The level and quality of response from staff are very good. This is home.

[Resident]

I have found all staff, carers, laundry and cleaners to be friendly and ready to help. There is always a cheery ‘hello’ from everyone and admin staff are excellent.

[Husband of Resident]

Home is very clean and tidy. Dad is very well looked after. He is safe there. Staff are always happy and greet you with a smile and are happy to answer any questions you may have.

[Daughter of Resident]

My mother who sometimes can be somewhat difficult is treated with kindness and respect by the staff. Under the new management, I have found that if you have a problem, you can always talk with them and they deal with the problem almost immediately. Things have improved 100%. The staff are excellent.

[Daughter of Resident]

I considered Brentwood Care Centre through a recommendation, which proved to be a good decision. From taking the first respite booking, I have felt in very homely surroundings. The front staff have listened and actioned my requests. The staff in Windsor, especially two Senior Health Care Assistants, have helped the resident to appreciate being involved with others, by encouraging his personality to come to the fore as sitting at home alone was very difficult for him. They have dealt with his needs compassionately.

[Power of Attorney Solicitor of Resident]

Brentwood Care Centre has a very warm and welcoming feel as soon as you arrive. My mother has settled in very quickly despite a stressful move when her old home closed down. I am extremely happy to see her so settled. Brentwood Care Centre is wonderful!

[Daughter of Resident]
Kesson House Care Centre

To Sharon and all the staff at Kesson House – we will forever be truly grateful for the TLC you all showered on Mum and Dad. You really are a wonderful team and go that extra mile.

To all staff [At Kesson House] – We just wanted to say a big thank you for the care and kindness shown to Mum who was always well cared for and happy.

To all at Kesson House, I’d like to thank you so much for the care you gave my Dad, for the two years he was with you. With all the awful stories we hear about care homes, we are pleased to say that Dad seemed as content as he could be with you all. It’s so good that people like you do this work with compassion, which is so often taken for granted.

Keep up the good work – with thanks.

From the very first time I visited Kesson House I knew this was the place I wanted my mum to live in. Everyone, from the carers, nurses, housekeeping and reception staff are amazing!
I could not wish my mum to be in safer hands

It is clear from my regular visits to see my father at Kesson House that his health and awareness along with his general wellbeing has greatly improved since he became a full-time resident at the care home.

[Son of Resident]

Residents all seem comfortable and content and very well looked after. I have always seen them treated with respect and kindness. The staff are friendly and happy.
It is nice to see my uncle well looked after.

[Niece of Resident]

From the very first time I visited Kesson House I knew this was the place I wanted my mum to live in. Everyone, from the carers, nurses, housekeeping and reception staff are amazing!
I could not wish my mum to be in safer hands. When the manager came to see my mum at her house, she was so kind. I would like to say, Kesson House has the most fantastic team of wonderful people. Thank you!

[Daughter of Resident]

My father became a resident last October when he could no longer care for himself. I have found the home is just right for him. The staff are all very kind and I have peace of mind knowing he is safe.

[Daughter of Resident]

I cannot say enough good things about Kesson House. From our initial visit 7 weeks ago to the settling in of my nan, the staff have been nothing but amazing. We’re still finding our feet but it’s comforting to knowing that the staff support us every step of the way. The building is lovely, clean, spacious and welcoming. Very pleased with everything. I am glad we found this gem of a home.

[Grand Daughter of Resident]

My family feel Mum is safe and happy at Kesson House. The staff are very good to Mum and that gives us peace of mind. I feel that I can have time out and know that she will be well looked after. Keep up the good work.

[Daughter of Resident]

The staff on the floor (carers) are excellent nothing is too much trouble for them. If and when I need help with my wife, I only have to ask them once. They attend to my wife straight away and have noticed they do the same for the rest of the residents and always treating them all with great care and respect and I do think the staff are great in more ways than one.

[Husband of Resident]

A friendly atmosphere with good, kind staff. Residents always seem to be treated kindly and with dignity.

[Niece of Resident]

I have felt very relaxed and happy leaving my dad here for two sessions of respite care. The staff come across as very caring and interact frequently with the residents. Every where is clean, welcoming and homely. My dad will definitely be coming back in the near future. Thank you to everyone.

[Daughter of Resident]

I think this the best home for my mum. She is very happy and has settled very well.

The staff are out of this world. They cannot do enough for my mum and I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart.

[Daughter of Resident]
Maidstone Care Centre

I am a resident and I have been living at Maidstone Care Centre for about 16 months. I have never felt happier. I love taking part in the activities. Recently I’ve participated in a photo shoot and it made me feel like a star! I love the staff – they are all very friendly and efficient.

Maidstone Care Centre has a very warm and welcoming feel from the moment you enter the building. The Manager and staff all work extremely hard and are so caring and kind. I would recommend this home 100 per cent.

My Aunt has been made very welcome by all of the team [at Maidstone Care Centre]. They are kind, patient, caring and efficient. It’s such a relief to me and all of the family to know that she is cared for so well. We all feel we couldn’t have found a better home.

The quality of care my mother receives is outstanding. My mother is extremely comfortable and the dedication the staff show is second to none

My Aunt is very well cared for and is happy and contented in her environment. The staff are excellent and the food always looked appetising and my Aunt is always telling me how good it is!

[Niece of Resident]

Staff are very friendly and helpful. I feel my nan is very well looked after, the food menu is brilliant, a very well balanced diet. Every time my family and I come in to visit we get welcomed. They don’t have a time limit or visit times which is very helpful as we all work different hours.

[Granddaughter of Resident]

The overall standard of the Maidstone Care Centre is excellent and ideally suitable for those persons requiring nursing care. There are a number of qualified sisters who are very knowledgeable about the various conditions residents are suffering from. They are supported by mostly female carers but I have not seen any male carers who can do exactly the same job. The nursing home caters for both male and female residents in an excellent surrounding and rooms are of a very high standard. Only 20 residents for each floor.

[Husband of Resident]

When visiting Grandad recently for his birthday, I was very pleased, he seemed happy and well cared for. The staff were very friendly and the home was very clean. Grandad’s room was very clean and tidy. [

Grandson of Resident]

My dad went into Maidstone Care Centre three years ago. At that time dad was quite poorly, I cannot believe the change in him. He is happy and the staff say he is always smiling. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care they have given my dad.

[Daughter of Resident]

In all the visits, I have observed very friendly and helpful staff and contented residents. My most recent visit was in April for my grandfather’s birthday and I was very impressed with how the staff celebrated and shared his special day with not only our family but also the other residents making us feel very welcome. On this particular occasion, you successfully put a sparkle back in my granddad’s eyes, which shows he’s happy and I believe being well cared for.

[Granddaughter of Resident]

On visiting my dad today I found him to be happy, safe and well cared for. The staff are always friendly and approachable.

[Daughter of Resident]

My Aunt, who is not the easiest person, has been made very welcome by all of the team. They are kind, patient, caring and efficient. It’s such a relief to me and all of the family to know that she is cared for so well. We all feel that she couldn’t have found a better home.

[Niece of Resident]

Maidstone Care Centre has a very warm and welcoming feel from the moment you enter the building. The Manager and staff here all work extremely hard and are so caring and kind. I would recommend this home 100%

[Friend of Resident]

I am living at Maidstone Care Centre for about 16 months. I have never felt happier. I love to take part in some activities. Recently I’ve participated in a photo shoot. It made me feel like a star. I love the staff, they are all very friendly and very efficient.

[Resident]

The quality of care my mother receives is outstanding. My mother is extremely comfortable and the dedication the staff show is second to none.
The centre as a whole has made my mothers stay so amazing there is nothing they won’t do for her

[Son of Resident]

My Nan has been in multiple homes and has been bruised and deteriorated pretty quickly. Nan went into this home a year ago while on her ‘final stage’ of dementia. She is now singing and eating again! Everyone is so polite, calm. professional and helpful. I truly don’t believe my Nanny would be here if it wasn’t for that fantastic team!

[Granddaughter of Resident]

The transition from hospital to care home has the potential to be a difficult time but the kindness, service and attention to detail by members of management, administration and staff has enabled the new resident along with family and friends to undergo this process with ease and confidence. We are all very grateful for the help and advice provided and would have no hesitation recommending others to benefit as we have.

Friend of Resident]

Our aunt recently moved into Maidstone Care Centre. It has been rather traumatic for her and us, however, the staff at the home have been brilliant! They have supported both my aunt and us adjust to the change. She is now settling well and we cannot praise the care she is receiving highly enough.

[Niece of Resident]
Manton Heights Care Centre

“Exemplary care in peaceful, clean surroundings. The staff [at Manton Heights] show dedication and treat the residents very much as valued individuals. The food menu is varied, tasty and nutritious, and enjoyed by the residents; specific dietary requirements are catered.”

“My mother was a resident in the [Manton Heights] home for three years and in that time she was extremely happy there and myself personally was very satisfied with the care she received during that time. The management were always available if you had any issues and the staff, down to the kitchen, laundry and cleaning staff were superb. There were regular relative meetings with management. The activities team has grown over the years and do some splendid work with the residents who wish to participate. The home is spotlessly clean and well-furnished and the kitchen staff go out of their way to accommodate the special dietary needs of some of the residents.”

“I found the accommodation [at Manton Heights] to be first class and of a high standard similar to that in a 4/5 star hotel. Although my 99 year old mother was not able to make use of the facilities, I was impressed by all that was available.

The level of care given to my mother was excellent and I have great admiration for the dedication and professionalism of the staff.”

“I would like to highly recommend both the facilities and staff at Manton Heights. Everyone there; nurses, carers, cooks, cleaners and admin staff all seemed to take a personal interest in Mum and treated her with care, dignity and respect.”

The best aspect of Manton Heights is the dedication and professionalism of all the staff

My father came to Manton Heights for rehab after being in hospital for many weeks. From the start, the staff and management were friendly and caring both to my dad and his family.
They ensured that all his needs were met both medically and physically and often went above and beyond what was expected, by their dedication to my dad’s care and happiness.
My dad liked the staff, including domestic staff who often popped into his room for a chat.
My family were kept informed and updated on all aspects of his care.
We were grateful for the staff’s professionalism.

[Daughter of Resident]

After the sudden passing of my mother and my father suffering from Dementia our immediate thoughts were Dad having to be placed in a care home, fortunately for us, he was accepted into Manton Heights Care Centre 24 hours after my mums passing, unfortunately for us as a family Dad passed away 4 weeks after mum. During my dad’s short stay we found all the staff to be friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble, we were constantly kept up to date with Dads unfortunate deterioration by his Key Worker along with other staff members in her absence. The compassion shown on the day of dads passing began with the initial call from the night staff through to the Administrator, Home Manager and other staff members.
As a family, we would not hesitate in recommending Manton Heights.

[Son of Resident]

Mum was only at Manton Heights for 10 days for respite but during this time she was treated with the best of care. I would fully recommend this care home to everyone that needed to be cared for. We the family were kept updated with everything that was going on. The staff were excellent. Mum was always put first whatever she liked to eat they tried to accommodate. Nothing was too much trouble. [

Daughter of Resident]

I would like to highly recommend both the facilities and staff at Manton Heights. My Mother spent her last year there and did so in comfort and with all of the attention possible from a really lovely team. Everyone there; nurses, carers, cooks, cleaners and admin staff all seemed to take a personal interest in Mum and treated her with care, dignity and respect. My sister and I were frequent visitors as were other family members and we were always happy with the way in which Mum was being looked after. She slipped away quietly when her time came and it was a great comfort to know that her last days were comfortable and peaceful. Thank you all.

[Son of Resident]

From the outset, I was impressed with Manton Heights. The management, nurses and carers were professional, diligent and sympathetic towards both me and my mother’s needs.
I felt very reassured despite what had the potential to be an emotive and distressing time

[Son of Resident]

I find this care home to be an honest, clean and very well organised. The staff are extremely friendly and competent. My mother, who is residing here has improved in health and mental state. I find Manton Heights to be of the highest standard.

[Mother of Resident]

I found the accommodation to be first class and of a high standard similar to that in a 4/5 star hotel. Although my 99 year old mother was not able to make use of the facilities, I was impressed by all that was available.
The level of care given to my mother was excellent and I have great admiration for the dedication and professionalism of the staff.
My mother was in the care home for 9 months until her death in June 2016

[Daughter of Resident]

With dementia nothing prepares you for the highs and lows of this devastating illness, whatever you do, you hope that for that moment the sufferer has happiness, as a minute later it is forgotten. Therefore to have witnessed the care and devotion given by Manton Heights and know they could be relied upon in their efforts to keep her safe and comfortable, was reassuring. The staff should know they did make a huge difference

[Daughter – in law – of Resident]

My mother was admitted with severe dementia and received very good care and attention. One particular incident which comes to mind was that following a stay in Hospital, which was very poorly managed by the discharge unit, the care home staff stayed long after their normal working hours to settle her back in safely.

[Son of Resident]

Exemplary care in peaceful, clean surroundings. The staff show dedication and treat the residents very much as valued individuals.
The food menu is varied, tasty and nutritious, and enjoyed by the residents; specific dietary requirements are catered.
The administrative support is efficient and communicative; the staff do exactly what they undertake to do – all with a smile.
Visiting times are unrestricted; it’s possible to go in any time over 24 hours which is comforting for the relatives.
Superb, sensitive, all round care where the needs of the individual are met and surpassed.

[Son of Resident]
Orchard House Care Centre

Orchard House is a very pleasant care home, always clean and fresh. The staff are amazing and my stepdad is very well looked after. The food given looks good and well presented. I have had no problems at all. Any concerns are dealt with immediately if we have any.

[Step Daughter of Resident]

My husband is a resident here. He is very well looked after and cared for. I have had no reason to make any complaints as yet. I find the staff very helpful and caring. I feel if I need to know anything I only have to ask and feel staff can do the same with me. Overall it is a very well kept and run care home. Keep up the good work. My husband has been here for over two years.

[Wife of Resident]

I am happy with the staff and feel comfortable and safe.

[Resident]

Welcome friendly. Staff always greet you and take the time to talk in general and on any issues. Premises in the common areas and in the personal rooms clean, tidy and well maintained. All in all, I feel that my mother is being well looked after and very well cared for. Any concerns are dealt with quickly and I am contacted to discuss any issues or concerns and kept well informed.

[Son of Resident]

I have been very happy with the care and attention my father received throughout his time at Orchard House. The staff and management alike are second to none. Excellent facilities and food, dad was always treated with great dignity, he loved his time there. The 24-hour visiting is fantastic it takes a lot of pressure off people who work. A huge thank you from myself and the rest of my family.

[Daughter of Resident]

I cannot fault this wonderful care home. The two and a half weeks my brother spent here was the happiest time of his four years in care.

[Sister of Resident]

Good carers and nice garden

[Resident]

Thank you so much for looking after my dad on his last 24 hours before he went to sleep forever, and thank you for looking after my mum and my brothers. You made my dad’s last few hours as comfortable as possible in a nice safe environment and we thank you deeply and thanks to the staff especially 🙂

[Son of Resident]

My partner has come to stay at Orchard House due to breaking his right lower leg. He came from hospital and we have been made very welcome by all the staff. They have given us their time and help to ensure my partner settled in. All the staff have been very friendly in this very stressful time. Orchard House is a well-run nursing home and it is a pleasure to visit.

[Partner of Resident]

I found Orchard House to be far superior to other care homes which my mother has stayed in. The rooms are quite large with en-suite facilities, extremely clean and equipped with all the things my mother required. Staff very friendly and helpful. Day room had the usual television, drinks station and all equipment needed.

[Daughter of Resident]

I found Orchard House to be far superior to other care homes which my mother has stayed in

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for looking after my father and for making him as comfortable as possible. And thank you also to the helpful staff [at Orchard House] for looking after us.

To everyone at Orchard House, thank you all so very much for everything you have done for our Dad.

You can’t see a ‘thank you’ but for things that you’ve done. May I thank you all at Orchard House for the care you give to my relative.

Parkview Care Centre

A very big thank you to Simone [at Park View] for her friendly and compassionate care of my Mum. Simone always makes time to tell me how Mum has been and it is clear that Mum likes her very much. I am grateful to know that Mum is in such good hands.

Thank you, Park View Care Centre, for the first class care given to my mum. She is always tended by excellent, friendly, caring and compassionate staff. She is kept clean, comfortable and safe.

“A very big thank you to Simone [at Park View] for her friendly and compassionate care of my Mum. Simone always makes time to tell me how Mum has been and it is clear that Mum likes her very much. I am grateful to know that Mum is in such good hands.”

“Thank you for looking after our Aunt so nicely [at Park View Care Centre]. It must be hard at times because she is so confused but it means a lot to us to find her so well looked after, clean, healthy and with a good meal in front of her.”

“Thank you, Park View Care Centre, for the first class care given to my mum. She is always tended by excellent, friendly, caring and compassionate staff. She is kept clean, comfortable and safe.

From the moment I walked into this nursing home, I knew it would be one of the best because of the kindness, consideration and care I was shown

Often people moan about care homes. I wanted to let people know how amazing, human, caring and supportive the home really is and to give thanks from the bottom of my heart

From the moment I walked into this nursing home, I knew it would be one of the best because of the kindness, consideration and care I was shown and that was just as a visitor. A friendly and responsive home. Extremely high levels of outstanding professional trained nursing care for my friend along with compassion, gentleness and care from ALL the staff. Exceptionally welcoming environment. Highest levels of cleanliness. An extremely calm and gentle atmosphere. Exceeded expectations for care, professionalism, food and cleanliness. Lovely gardens. Thank you.

[Friend of Resident]

Lovely clean, welcoming, friendly care home, home from home. Top marks. Already looking myself.

[Sister of Resident]

I found the care centre very clean and tidy. All the staff were pleasant, helpful, cheerful and carried out their tasks with dignity.

[Son of Resident]

We were made very welcome and given a choice of rooms. The staff were all very caring and ensured mum was comfortable. She was treated with dignity and respect. All the staff were compassionate in our hours of need and could not have been more professional and caring.

[Son of Resident]

Mum’s Altzheimers was getting more severe and we’d reached crisis point. We were given a number for Park View (30 miles away) and contacted them. Unfazed by mum’s issues, they swiftly assessed her and immediately offered her a place. We visited and liked the purpose-built layout, the instant smiles from every member of staff and their professionalism. Mum remained there for around four months until we moved her closer to ‘home’. Her care was exemplary; we certainly didn’t move her because we were unhappy. Park View provides a very safe and warm environment. They quickly assessed how to approach her care needs (she can be difficult – no problem). She was very well fed and swiftly returned to a healthy weight, having previously been severely underweight. The changeover was handled wonderfully, even providing a carer to accompany us all to her new home. Thank you, Park View for everything!

[Daughter of Resident]

My mother is enjoying a period of respite care ar Park View and is very happy with her new surroundings. She has been helped to settle in smoothly and has a lovely room. I am particularly impressed with the activities and fun things she gets involved in. She loves the live music and dancing opportunities. I joined in with Pancake making with her which was great fun.

[Son of Resident]

My aunt was in the home for several years and owing to her condition was not always the easiest person to care for but the staff were always kind and compassionate and always treated her with respect and dignity.

. [Nephew of Resident]

Park View was able to take my aunt in at short notice, her dementia having advanced, swiftly preventing her from living at home.
The staff were caring and sensitive, both to myself and my aunt’s step-daughter and to my aunt herself.
Everything was explained clearly and her admission went smoothly. When a further stroke meant that she had to go into the nursing level this was handled well.
The contract and payment side was also handled well, not rushed as I have heard happens in some places.

[Niece of Resident]

Staff seem friendly and caring. Particularly pleased with entertainment; whenever I phone or visit mum I interrupt her in the middle of something eg. concert, scrabble or just being in the garden. Both parents seem happy and well treated.

[Daughter of Resident]

My mum came in with grade four plus sores. The home has been caring, honest, helpful and very supportive. I could not have asked for anything better. My dad is also in Park View and has been so much better since he came in

[Daughter of Resident]

Mum lived in Park View Home for 6yrs and was very settled. Unfortunately after a very short illness of seven weeks, Mum passed away on July 3rd. I visited on June 22nd, I had been going daily for weeks. Mum seemed to be so poorly. On the 22nd of June, I was told I could stay. This was a comfort for Mum, me and my family. I can’t thank the staff enough, they were truly amazing. Family were made welcome, carers, nurses, cleaners, laundry, entertainment and management supported me at a difficult time. I would not have coped without the wonderful people at Park View, they showed care and respect to my lovely mum. Often people moan about care homes. I wanted to let people know how amazing, human, caring and supportive the home really is and to give thanks from the bottom of my heart.
I miss my mum so much although have some comfort knowing how well cared for Mum was in such a lovely home. Mum could not swallow due to her Parkinsons and was on a purree diet. The kitchen made a great effort. I am still missing my mum so very much, I am devastated.

[Daughter of Resident]

I cannot praise the staff at Park View highly enough. My Dad was there for 18 months, and during the first 8 months our Mum was still alive, and she visited daily, often being asked to stay for refreshments etc. so that they were still treated as a couple. After she passed away, the nurses, cleaning staff all did their very best to bridge the gap in his loss. All the staff were very patient with him when he couldn’t understand where our Mum was and why she wasn’t visiting. Their care and devotion during his final days surpassed anything we could have expected and allowed our Dad to spend his last days in what had become his home. We often would hear the nurses speaking to him with affection and always with respect so that he maintained a dignity even in his passing.
The nurses were kindness itself to his family were always on hand to give us sympathy and understanding, they supported us during a very difficult time. God Bless.

[Daughter of Resident]

The care given to my father is excellent. The staff who care for him are kind, compassionate and treat him with dignity. He receives excellent care and food. He receives medication at precise times, as a result of all these factors he is in good health. Any issues raised regarding my father are dealt with promptly and satisfactorily.

[Daughter of Resident]

My mother has advanced dementia and is totally bedridden. She has been a resident of Park View for nearly four years. The care given has been excellent. The staff are compassionate and caring. She is always clean, comfortable and safe.

[Daughter of Resident]
Queens Court Nursing Home

I would like to say a big THANK YOU for the care shown to my father who is in [nursing care at your [Queens Court] home. I am unable to visit personally but have nothing but great feedback from the family who have visited. It has given me a great deal of ease at a difficult time. Your staff are extremely attentive and should be commended on their professionalism.

My sister and I have nothing but praise for the staff in the [Queens Court] dementia unit, and the latest management team, and of course some of the other staff on the unit next to it that we have come to know. Even though mother’s dementia is taking more of a hold on her she is still thriving in other ways and looks very well thanks to their wonderful care. They are very understanding of her needs and her personality. We are always contacted by the staff regarding anything to do with her health or any other needs she may have.

The staff [at Queens Court] have looked after my wife for over 3 years. Their care and expertise have always been excellent, giving me confidence that my wife is in a safe place amongst people who truly care.

My cousin was accepted by Queens Court. The staff have been wonderful, helping her to settle in and advising us and listening to our worries and concerns regarding my relative’s health and behaviour.

The family are so relieved that my relative is warm and safe…. The day centre at Queens Court is a wonderful facility, providing entertainment activities and social contact.

The home is always clean and fresh smelling. Staff [at Queens Court] are always kind and helpful.

“To all staff at Queens Court Nursing Home… I will never be able to find the right words or expressions to describe the thanks I owe to you all. The care and kindness you have shown in looking after my wife ensured that she was not in pain, was as comfortable as her illness allowed and that she suffered as little stress as possible. You treated her as a person with feelings, emotions and needs of companionship and made Queens Court a home that she recognised and felt safe in.

You allowed me to become your friend and you offered me so many kindnesses over the years that I looked upon Queens Court as my home as well as my wife’s.

I refer to ‘all of the staff’ as everyone who works in a nursing home is an essential part of the support given to residents; it is not only the nurses and carers who are the most visible, but the cleaners, maintenance team, the laundry staff, the admin office and the kitchen staff, plus the managers. Queen’s Court has an excellent team of staff – my thanks to you all.”

I have found the standard of care very high at Queens Court.
The activities are great and engaging for residents and friends and family.

Following some falls, mum needed a greater level of care than carers popping in.
Of all the local homes we visited, Queens Court ticked all our boxes: Pleasant, accessible room, friendly welcoming staff, catering that panders to a demanding diabetic 90-year-old and an assurance that she is in safe hands. We have not been disappointed.

[Son in Law of Resident]

My mother spent the last 12 weeks of her life at Queens Court Nursing Home. The home has a dynamic and efficient manager who is very proactive in addressing any queries/problems that residents have. She has an open door policy and was always accessible to us. The level of care that was provided by the team was outstanding and my mother said that when she had passed away I was to tell the staff that she had felt loved and very well cared for during her time there. My mother’s dignity was protected and her wish to be tended only by female staff for personal care was respected at all times. The quality of food was excellent and the rooms were kept spotlessly clean by a dedicated cleaning team. The entertainment provided for residents was varied and my mum said that her best day at the home was when pygmy goats were brought in for residents to cuddle and feed. This is an outstanding home.

[Daughter of Resident]

Excellent care with a great attitude. Very sympathetic in the final days of my mother’s life. I cannot speak highly enough of the management or staff.

[Son of Resident]

I am so pleased my mother moved to Queens Court for end of life care. The staff and managers were very friendly, supportive and respectful to my mum and my sister and I. I can’t thank them enough for making the end of her life as good as it could have been. They were all so kind to us all at such a difficult time.

Daughter of Resident]

My Mum spent the last six weeks of her life in Queens Court. She was very ill when she went into the home and she was always treated with dignity, respect and kindness by all the staff. The manager was excellent and always knew how Mum was whatever time I called. She also always had time for my sister and me, however busy she was. My Mum said she was happy we’d chosen the home for her and so were we.

[Daughter of Resident]

My mother was referred to a nursing home from the hospital. I was very cautious but chose Queens Court after a visit. To say I wasn’t disappointed is an understatement. She was offered everything to meet her needs to make her as comfortable as possible. We, as a family, were treated as friends and were encouraged to bring her dog in and her baby great-grandson, to make her feel at home. Her final days and hours were so peaceful, there were no traumatic moments and Mum passed with peace and dignity. What more could you ask for? All this in only 3 weeks.

[Daughter of Resident]

My mother was seriously ill and came to Queens Court for palliative care. I cannot fault the care and kindness that she received from all staff- from the manager through to the ward of staff. It was comforting to know that in her final days mum was well cared for and safe.

[Son of Resident]

My mums stay in the nursing home was relatively short but in that time we found the management and staff were brilliant. The rooms were neat and tidy, the food was varied and tasty. Overall I have no complaints at all with Queens Court Nursing Home, my daughter and I have been back since my mums passing to thank all the staff

[Son of Resident]

I cannot give my praises to this care home more than what I have. My grandma was so comfortable and welcomed into this lovely care home. The staff are amazing! Especially the manager. I cannot thank everyone enough for what they did for my grandma while she was seriously ill, and I also couldn’t have wished for a better place for her to have stayed and been at.

[Granddaughter of Resident]

I have found the standard of care very high at Queens Court.
The activities are great and engaging for residents and friends and family.
Lots of choices at mealtimes and general caring for residents is good.
I’m sure if my father could communicate, he would echo the above.

[Daughter of Resident]

Having lost a very dear friend who was in the nursing home for two weeks, I have nothing but praise for the staff and the care that was given to her.

[Friend of Resident]

I would like to say a big THANK YOU for the care shown to my father who is in nursing care at your home. I am unable to visit personally but have nothing but great feedback from the family who have visited. It has given me a great deal of ease at a difficult time. Your staff are extremely attentive and should be commended on their professionalism.

[Daughter of Resident]

The overall experience with regards to our father’s care has been very good. All staff are very caring and always take time to speak to us and keep us informed at all times.

Daughter of Resident]
Romford Nursing Care Centre

The staff [at Romford Care Centre] are very caring and take their job very seriously. The staff seem to go over and beyond their normal working hours.

Staff are kind, caring and considerate. My mum is 100 years old and needs a lot of care and the staff are terrific. Her room is clean, tidy and has a private toilet etc

Son of Resident

I cannot fault the care that I received and would if need be, choose to stay again.

Respite Resident

My mum has been treated with complete care and dignity. The staff are always cheerful, helpful and trying to help both mum, my dad and I. I would and have already recommended the care centre to others.

Son of Resident

Always nice and clean. Friendly staff, rooms are a good size. The accommodation always smells nice and the food looks good.

Son of Resident

Dad came in for respite, we were extremely pleased with his care and the conscientious staff.
He is happy here, also and we as a family are happy for him being here. We have now decided for him to be a permanent resident. It has taken a lot of weight off our minds that he is being looked after properly.

Daughter of Resident

My husband was transferred from a local to Romford Nursing Care Centre following a change in his behaviour. It was rather an emergency at the time. I returned from a much-needed respite to find that our circumstances had definitely improved for the better. Upon arrival, my husband cooperated with the manager and nursing staff, received a high level of ongoing care and within weeks became much calmer and settled. The unit has a real ‘family’ atmosphere with plenty of laughter and interactions. After many years of requiring protective pads, my husband no longer uses these as by some miracle he now has control over his bladder and knows when too use the toilet!

[Wife of Resident]

All the staff have been extremely helpful. The nursing care is very good. The residents are treated with dignity and looked after. Overall, it is really good value for money.

[Partner of Resident]

Since mum has been in this home in June 2017, she has improved a lot in herself. The staff and carers are wonderful, she can chat with all the nurses and carers that help her. It really makes a difference that all the staff in the home, from the domestics, chefs, carers and everyone helps with what mum can do to make her stay more enjoyable.

[Son of Resident]

Very pleased with the care for my dad. Staff are very pleasant and helpful rooms are very spacious and the residents make their rooms a home from home. There seems to be a lot of functions ie. fetes, bingo etc.
All in all, you seem to get an atmosphere of this care home. It is a lovely place to be and I am more than pleased, as is my dad, which is the most important thing. Thanks to all staff for making our dad comfortable.

[Son of Resident]

Mother in law has been at the home since February 2017. The home is kept beautifully clean and well presented. All of the staff are really friendly, well turned out and helpful. The hardest decision was having to put mother into a home but the transition was made smoother with the support of care home staff. My mother in law is now settled and says she enjoys the entertainment in the home, she also says the food is of an excellent standard.

[Daughter of Resident]

Very happy with this care home which had a lovely large quiet room for mum and her belongings. Plenty of activities happening with great care, empathy and security. Impressed with the menu and choices offered in the dining room or in own room. Plenty of areas to socialise or opportunity for peace and quiet. Garden could be nicer but pleasant enough in good weather. Highly recommended.

[Daughter of Resident]

The manager of Amy’s Park and her team have made a very homely and welcoming floor, the bedrooms and eating TV area, it is just like being in your own home.
The staff are very caring and take their job very seriously. The staff seem to go over and beyond their normal working hours. They run a number of daily activities which test and stretch the residents and stimulate the mind and work the body. The hairdresser and nail bar help boost the feel good factor of the residents.

[Son of Resident]
The Withens Nursing Home

To all at The Withens; we just wanted to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all the care and support that you gave our Mum whilst she was with you. We are so happy that she found a place with you – it really did feel like a home. If she could speak we know she would tell of how happy she was with you and your kindness to her. Thank you all so very much.

To all the Withens Staff and Percy! Thank you so much for everything.

To all Staff [at the Withens], A big heart felt thank you. Thank you very much for all your hard working and loving care. Blessed be! Love and Light.

“To Vicky and all the staff at Withens – your kindness to Dad and us has meant such a lot and cannot be overstated. Here’s hoping that you know it’s much appreciated.  Thank you so much.”

“Very homely and welcoming. Encouraging independence with life skills for residents and involving family and friends with care plans and support for the best possible experiences for real all round care of our family member”.

My mother has settled in very well she says all the staff are lovely. Nothing seems too much trouble. These are plenty of activities and the food is excellent. My family are very pleased our mother is a resident at The Withens Nursing Home.

[Son of Resident]

Very caring staff. The Withens always looked clean with no unpleasant odours. My relative was bedridden for most of the period she was a resident. She was always made as comfortable as possible and handled with great gentleness.

[Daughter in law of Resident]

Very caring staff. The Withens always looked clean with no unpleasant odours. My relative was bedridden for most of the period she was a resident. She was always made as comfortable as possible and handled with great gentleness.

[Daughter in law of Resident]

We visit on a regular basis and always find staff working throughout the home. We are asked on every visit if there are any concerns or problems. All in all, we feel reassured that our mother is being well looked after.

[Daughter of Resident]

The staff are always helpful and friendly. My mum appears comfortable and well cared for. The food is very good. The medical and nursing staff are making sure mum is not in pain and talked to me realistically and kindly about the care options. I really appreciate this – at this stage of life comfort and dignity is essential, whilst a low cholesterol diet is not … Bravo. [Daughter of Resident]

Excellent.

[Son of Resident]

I am very happy with the care my husband is receiving at The Withens. The carers are excellent and always have time for me and my husband.
I would recommend the home.

[ Wife of Resident]

My relative was looked after very well. I would like to recommend The Withens Nursing home for the excellent care and everything else. Staff are the best you can find.

[Niece of Resident]

Very caring staff. Lovely food. Friendly atmosphere. Beautiful countryside location.

[Daughter of Resident]

Very homely and welcoming. Encouraging independence with life skills for residents and involving family and friends with care plans and support for the best possible experiences for real all round care of our family member. Many many thanks.

[Wife of Resident]

I am extremely pleased with the staff, they do an excellent job. The home is maintained very well, clean and tidy. Everybody cares about the residents and treats them with respect.

[Daughter of Resident]

This is an excellent care home- staff and management are very attentive and caring. Food is excellent.

[Wife of Resident]

Staff are a well-knit group, work well together and support each other. Cover each other with absences and make sure everything runs smoothly. Considering it is not a purpose built building, everything is managed well around it.

[Wife of Resident]

A well-run care home that provides the needs for my mother and one which she is happy residing in. Staff are very good with residents and have a number of activities to keep them occupied.

[Son of Resident]
Woodlands Care Centre

Our family would like to say how grateful we are for the care that the Woodlands staff showed to our relative. They showed compassion and love and nothing was too much trouble for them. Even though there were times when she was bed ridden, the staff made every effort to include her in the social and concert events.  We are eternally indebted to you for making her so comfortable.

I’d very much like you to pass on to all the staff [at the Woodlands] my deep appreciation for the care, respect and decency that they showed my relative. I have always been highly impressed by their consideration and obvious concern coupled with a clear love of their work. They are a super team.

We have witnessed close up the incredible level of compassion that the people at Woodlands Care Home, Cambridge showed to my mum.

The carers, the nursing staff, the social events staff, the administration, everyone associated with the residents – they all showed superb levels of professionalism combined with empathy, kindness and humour.

They always knew that Irene was more than just a patient or a collection of symptoms of a terribly-debilitating disease.

They understood that she had a life, a history, a family before and outside of Woodlands. They kept her safe, comforted her, enabled her to maintain her dignity and let her express her frustrations and her sense of humour.

As her family, we were also made to feel so welcome. Her carers have become our friends – friends who we willingly trusted to take good care of the most valuable and yet vulnerable person in our lives.

We will always be grateful to everyone at Woodlands for everything they did for Irene and our family. They have touched our lives in the most special way.

Residents are treated with dignity as individuals and valued as individuals”. We had peace of mind knowing that our dear mother was being looked after exceptionally well.

Since my husband has been a resident at the Woodlands his care has been excellent from all concerned. All the staff are friendly and courteous and care for my husband with his sometimes challenging behaviour (due to his dementia) calmly and with respect. He always looks clean and cared for and he has a lovely bright room. The staff at the Woodlands have helped to make this difficult time in both our lives more bearable.

[Wife of Resident]

Unlike another home my wife was in at Peterborough, where she was not washed or cleaned for days, since she has been at Woodlands she is washed and changed daily. She is bedridden and has to be fed like a baby. The room is always clean when I visit and the staff are very polite and helpful and friendly.

[Husband of Resident]

This is a very well-managed care home that feels more like a home than an institution. I saw several before deciding where my mother should go, and this was certainly the best. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, the building is maintained to a high standard and the gardens pleasant to stroll around. Above all, the staff are professional, attentive and friendly. Many staff have been there for a long time, which is a good sign. They quickly got to know my mother, helped her to settle in and feel comfortable. I feel confident she is in good hands. It is a relief not to have to worry anymore. Most importantly, I could immediately tell my mother was happy there; she has never once mentioned moving back to her house. It’s big, but divided into smaller units each with its own dedicated team of staff, so it doesn’t feel big. Naturally, lots of people with different needs all together in one place is never easy, but I would say Woodlands Care Centre offers the highest levels of care and comfort possible.

[Son of Resident]

My daughter, who has been suffering from MS for the last 20 years, is immobile and completely dependent on her carers. She has been in Woodlands since 2011, in a lovely light room with ample space for her belongings. Woodlands is being run very efficiently by wonderful, dedicated people. And nothing but praise for her kind and compassionate carers, always ready to help. I especially admire their patience with my often difficult daughter.

[Mother of Resident]

Mum has been here for eight years and has never had any complaints. All the staff whether management, office or carers are always friendly and treat patients with respect.
There are always things going on and trips out if patients wish to go. The food is very good.

[Daughter of Resident]

My daughter and I first heard of Woodlands Care Centre whilst my son aged 41 at the time was a patient in hospital. The staff on the ward made an initial recommendation. My daughter made contact and within 24 hours the manager had visited my son to make an assessment. She was wonderful, it must be said that my son had complex issues at the time and the improvement that has been made between them and now is incredible. He has a wonderful home for life.

[Mother of Resident]

Having to make the decision of putting a loved one into a care home can be extremely stressful and upsetting, but on finding a placement at Woodlands Care Centre for my mother, we discovered our fears to be alleviated. My mother had resided in the home for 8 years until her recent passing and was treated with the utmost respect, dignity and affection throughout. The staff were always so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and always on hand if we needed to ask any questions. We found the everyday running standards of the home exceptionally high, with a full and varied activities schedule. The cleanliness of the care home was to a very high standard and the meals always looked appetising. Our family were welcomed at any time of the day or week and always given privacy if required with our mother. We had peace of mind knowing that our dear mother was being looked after exceptionally well. In conclusion, we would have no hesitation in highly recommending this care home.

[Daughter of Resident]

My mother has now been at Woodlands care home for two years. She is very happy and feels very safe and secure. She always enjoys the meals and really likes the entertainment, particularly the music/singing but also enjoys the trips out.

[Son of Resident]

My husband has been a resident at Woodlands for almost three years. I visit daily at any time and am always welcome. The rooms and corridors are cleaned daily and always smell fresh. The staff are dementia trained and residents are treated with dignity and loving care. The Wordsworth Unit has 20 rooms and a full-time nurse at all times. [

[Wife of Resident]

Woodlands is a purpose built care home which provides very safe and secure facilities for dementia residents. We found the management and staff very caring and understanding and there is an excellent programme of activities. The consistency of staff means that the residents get to know them and seem to feel comfortable.
